first two days in australia

reached the airport in adelaide at 8am local time with my classmate, snow.
waited quite awhile before we got through the custom.
then it was the beginning of our nightmare.
never did we know that mawson lakes is so damn far from the airport.
had no choice but to cab down to our lodging as we've quite a few baggages.
cab fare was freakin' expensive please.
starting meter was aud$4.90 and when we reach our lodging, its aud$50.
yeah aussie dollars baby!
then our waves of shocks just continues.
we were showed to our rooms and gosh, the rooms are terrible!
only a bed thats all.
no bed sheets, no pillows, literally nothing alright.
then we walked to the common kitchen, nothing as well.
no pots, no pans, no bowls, no forks and spoon, nothing once again.
we're only given a microwave and the stove.
next shocks, no toilet papers, no soap and shampoo, nothing again!
i was thinking, "how the freakin' hell are we gonna live in this place?!"
furthermore, the rooms have no air-con you know.
i know its pretty cold now but summer is coming yo.
the temperature during summer is like 44 degrees baby!
im gonna be baked like a potato in no time.
so anyway, we left to the city to get our bed sheets and stuffs.
everything is really damn expensive here.
just the lousiest and cheapest bedsheet and blanket already cost us aud$45.
btw, all amounts are in aussie dollars. :@
but before buying our bedsheets we went to look for food.
head to a foodcourt thinking the food might be cheaper there.
end up, its expensive till my jaws went dropping down.
its aud$3 for a small bottle of coke.
then mineral water is aud$2.50 while a bowl of laksa cost aud$9.50.
yeah there was laksa but the price, fucked up really.
back home, its only sgd$3.50 but here, aud$9.50!
end up eating "hungry jacks" aka "burger king".
bought the cheapest available which is a small cheese burger meal.
cost, aud$4.50 and yes its damn small.
so after that we went around but everything is just so expensive. :(
just bought our bedsheets and stuffs before doing a little grocery.
oh and we took a train back.
bus rides are aud$4 each ride regardless of how far or near your stop is.
then we bought this all-day ticket where we can use as much as we want for aud$8.30.
after that back to our rooms to rest.
woke up at around 6 plus local time.
went out to call before having our dinner.
bought this quater-chicken meal that cost $8.50.
and yes thats the cheapest available.
but the portion is damn huge.
plus i didn't have much appetite cos i really miss honey.
end up taking 2 bites before packing it to bring back home.
so i kept the food till today and just had it just now for dinner.
we went grocery just now and total bill was aud$94.
hell expensive when we look at how little stuffs we bought.
oh and suddenly i remember, i woke up damn late today!
i slept at around 12am plus local time and woke up at 1:15pm today. :D
felt damn refreshed!
so tonight i gotto sleep early tonight cos i've to wake up at 7am tomorrow.
will be reporting to the university at 9am i think.
sigh, hopefully i've have my own internet connection by then.
so once i got my own internet connection i can keep chatting with honey.
yeah even till wee-hours its alright. :)
